By maintaining a collection of snakes that were bred and sold over the past 10 years, it
eventually allowed us to pursue a variety of species & expand our collection to what it is today.
Our breeding efforts began with Classic Boas and over the course of time the collection grew
along with an interest in Dumeril’s Boas, Hog Island Boas, Jungle Carpet Pythons and our most
recent venture, Ball Pythons. During the past three years, the focus on boa constrictors has
brought various and numerous color morphs to the SSSCALES collection.
We are currently working with such boa morphs as Motley, Albinos, Hypomelanistic, Salmon,
Anerytheristic, Dubay Pastels, various Hets and Double Hets. Future projects include Coral,
Sunglow, Snow, Super Motley, Pastel Albinos, T+ Albinos and numerous designer combos. While
Boas remain our primary focus, we plan to expand our collection to include a wide variety of
numerous Ball Python morphs in the next 2-5yrs. Our stock will consist 100% on Captive Born &
Bred Ball pythons. Our breeding plans include Mojaves, Spiders, Pastels, Lessers, Pieds,
Albinos, and Pinstripes among others as our collection of Ball pythons grows.
Today, SSSCALES continues to operate as a family owned and operated part time business/full
time obsession. We are located in South Florida and enjoy an herp friendly climate nearly year
round. In 2007 thanks to our 10yr old daughter Nicole, the SSSCALES family grew once again
with the addition of Leopard Geckos. While not huge lizard fans, my wife and I have grown to
adore our newest family members. Extremely friendly, easy to maintain and a huge variation in
patterns and colors, it's easy to see why Leopard Geckos are still one of the most popular pet
Lizards in the US.
